Want to know how well a child will do at school? Ask them how much their parents earn. In the UK, household income is the most significant factor determining pupil achievement.
With your help Teach First can change this.
Teach First is a charity whose vision is that:
- Every child will have access to great teachers and the best possible life chances
- Every child receives the best possible education
Teach First receives support from leading organisations spanning all sectors, including schools and teachers, universities, businesses, teaching organisations and the public sector.
Our supporters recognise the importance of the work that we do and are passionate about supporting our mission.
Many also value the skills and experiences our teachers gain both inside and outside the classroom as part of our Leadership Development Programme. They understand the exceptional leadership required in teaching and see its transferability to management roles.
How you can support us
Supporting Teach First today will help us ensure every child has the education they deserve. As an independent charity, the stability and sustainability of Teach First derives from the contributions it receives from its supporters, partners and sponsors.
In addition to the financial support we need to continue to deliver and develop our programmes, we rely on crucial donations towards the following areas:
- Donations to support bespoke projects, for example developing our presence in specific regional hubs, or to support the recruitment of teachers in shortage subjects
- Vital in-kind support through pro bono professional services work, event and training venues and employee volunteering
