Take on a challenge to support Teach First
For nearly ten years we have worked in partnership with our friends and supporters to raise the achievement, aspirations and access to opportunity of pupils from low income communities. Today, the link between low family income and poor educational attainment is greater in the UK than almost any other developed country. It doesn't have to be this way. Now is the time for change.
Join the Teach First team in some of the UK's biggest races, trek or cycle through incredible places in our overseas adventures, or take on your own challenge to support us in ensuring every young person is given the same chances in life, no matter what background they are born into.
How can the funds you raise support the work we do?
- £10 could support a gifted and talented pupil without a family history of education through a day's work experience to strengthen their university application
- £80 could provide one teacher with a Leading Learning training session to ensure that they are able to have maximum impact on children in their classroom
- £200 could allow Teach First to assess one graduate through our rigorous assessment centre
- £500 could fund one gifted and talented pupil without a family history of higher education to get to university
- £3,000 could fund a participant through the first year of the Teach First Leadership Development Programme
- £10,000 could allow Teach First to reach 950 children - providing them with the education and access to life opportunities they deserve
There are plenty of opportunities on offer with Teach First and we'll support you to achieve your goals.

Teach First Week [+]
What do Dame Vivienne Westwood, Jon Snow, Justin King and Jeremy Paxman have in common?
They are part of an exclusive group of distinguished professionals who have shown a commitment to the vision of Teach First by taking part in Teach First Week to help raise the aspirations of young people in low income communities.
Teach First Week is an annual campaign which provides professionals from supporting organisations with the opportunity to step away from their day job, at times outside of their comfort zone, and share the experiences of their careers to help raise the aspirations of pupils in Teach First partner schools and enable them to shape their own futures.
Senior leaders in business, politics and celebrity will be placed in a Teach First partner school where at least half the pupils come from the poorest homes to deliver a lesson between Monday 12 March and Friday 16 March. By taking part in Teach First Week 2012 guest teachers will demonstrate a commitment to ensuring that every child has access to the educational opportunities they deserve, regardless of their family background.
