Ambassador Community

Currently there are 1,168 ambassadors, 50% of whom remain in teaching. In ten years' time, this number will have grown to over 6,500.

Beyond the two-year Leadership Development Programme, Teach First works to empower, equip and mobilise all ambassadors with the skills, tools and networks they need to support the Teach First mission, by driving forward sustainable change in education from both inside and outside the classroom.

At the end of a participant's second year of teaching, they will graduate to become a Teach First ambassador, joining a growing movement of Teach First graduates working, with the support of Teach First, to bring about long-term change in education. This network is like no other, giving ambassadors the opportunity to maintain their involvement in the mission of Teach First, whilst also developing their personal networks and progress in their chosen careers.

"The ambassador network is very strong, it's growing exponentially every year and I think the beautiful thing about Teach First is that they don't just take you in, drop you in a school even if you leave after two years and just leave you. The idea is that you've become part of this network that is ever-growing, and is very dynamic and responds to your needs. It's a very responsive network and one that I'm proud to be part of."
