Who would you like to see inspire and motivate in the classroom?
18 January 2013
We’re looking for a select group of distinguished professionals and top celebrities to show they are committed to achieving equality in education by teaching a lesson in one of our partner schools during April. Who do you follow on twitter, read about in the news or have long-standing admiration for that you think would be up for the challenge and happy to support us in our work with young people across the country? Tell us today who you’d like to see and we could make it happen. Tweet them, and us @TeachFirst using #Youshouldteach.
Every Child Can is a new week-long campaign taking place in April which aims to shine a spotlight on the urgent need to end educational inequality in the UK. It is based on the successful Teach First Week which we have run since 2004 where distinguished professionals take time out from their day job to teach a lesson in a Teach First partner school supported by a participant. This remains a core part of the campaign and is a great opportunity for schools and participants to raise pupils’ aspirations; for Teach First to develop relationships with impressive stakeholders; and to secure media exposure to promote Teach First and our partner schools.
Further information about the campaign and the broader activities that will support it will be shared soon.
