The focus of the Teach First Teach On Award is to recognise Teach First Ambassadors working as inspirational classroom and school leaders.

Core Questions:

Does this Teach First Ambassador demonstrate commitment, excellence and impact in relation to teaching and addressing educational disadvantage?
How have they motivated and inspired students in their school or curriculum area?

Addressing educational disadvantage – 50 to 300 words max* Some pointer questions: What evidence is there that demonstrates the impact they have had on addressing educational disadvantage (for example, what pupils say about their lessons or any data that exemplifies their impact)? What have they done outside the classroom that demonstrates their commitment to motivating and inspiring students to achieve (this could be both within and beyond their subject field)?

Inspiring and motivating others – 50 to 300 words max* Some pointer questions: What sets them apart from other teachers or leaders in the way they have motivated and inspired students to achieve within their curriculum or school area? Are there any innovative or new ideas that they have introduced to school, to help inspire and motivate others? (For example, addressing problems that have arisen because of a particular school context) How have they led, motivated and inspired other staff (for example, providing support and mentoring)? Please give examples.
