Why become an LDO?
As an LDO, you’ll support a group of Teach First participants on the Leadership Development Programme who are teaching in schools in low-income communities. You will be on the front line; directly supporting their professional development to ensure the success of pupils in their classroom. Working closely with participants, you’ll personalise their journey; supporting them to craft ambitious classroom goals, achieve targets and problem solve to overcome any barriers. It’s an exciting and rewarding role with the opportunity to develop valuable leadership experience with a deeper understanding of effective teaching and learning practices, specifically around:

Leadership Development Officers are qualified teachers with a minimum two years teaching experience that are motivated and passionate individuals with a commitment to ending inequality in education.
