Teach First is pleased to present Learning to Lead on campus, a taster course for our training designed to act an invaluable aid for undergraduates in life as well as in their search for graduate employment. Due to the unique pool of knowledge on which this course draws, Teach First is able to present a unique perspective on these skills, not only by presenting cutting edge business best practice in each of the fields represented by our sponsors, but also by including a range of people management skills rarely covered elsewhere.

Modules from Learning to Lead include:

How to make an impact on campus
As a leader, in charge of a club or society, you need to gain the respect of the hardest group of people ever: your peers. You need to know how to motivate them to follow you and manage your team well. These are skills which are crucial for success on campus at the moment, for gaining the experiences to talk about at interview and for day to day interaction in any situation.

The 'me' In team
How to make friends and influence people

How to make an impact on employers
As thoughts turn towards getting a job, you need to know how to communicate in the manner that professionals expect. More than that you need to back this up with demonstrable ability. The ability to talk professionally is a valuable tool whether you want to go on to a corporate or any other environment, or more immediately, if you want to communicate with the business world in order to gain their support for your work at university.
