There are a number of ways through which businesses and individuals can get involved with Teach First.

Coaching

Through the Teach First Coaching programme, business employees can volunteer to play a key role in supporting our participants in identifying which learning opportunities they should maximise on in their second year in order to further their pupils' and their own development, as well as help them to make key decisions about their careers beyond Teach First. Employees can also use this as a chance to develop their own coaching skills.  To find out more please contact:

Hire Teach First Ambassadors

Teach First supporters consistently identify communication skills as being the greatest weakness of the graduates they hire. As a result of a rigorous recruitment process and their time in the classroom, Teach First participants demonstrate strong communication skills, as well as planning, organisation and creativity. In addition, they have all excelled academically. The results show that they are making a significant impact in challenged schools. What could they achieve in your business?

To find out more please contact Sarah Higgs, Director of Ambassadors, on 020 7517 2729 or email shiggs@teachfirst.org.uk.

Leadership Training

We supply bespoke training for the circa 400 high achieving graduates we take on each year from the top universities.  Our leadership training programme provides a unique opportunity for supporting organisations, across all sectors, to deepen their commitment to Teach First and support the success of our graduates.  If you feel you have something to give to this programme please contact Laura Donovan on 0207 517 2743 or ldonovan@teachfirst.org.uk.

Summer Projects (Internships)

Teach First participants are graduates of top universities. Summer projects (internships) give them the opportunity to gain further experience of the work place, develop key skills and learn more about your organisation. In return, you get to access a top graduate(s) to work on a useful project or idea.  To find out more please contact:

Training, speakers and venues

If you have access to great speakers or a professional venue and are interested in networking with Teach First participants, you can also raise the profile of your organisation by delivering or hosting an event or evening reception for the charity and its graduates.  For more information please contact Philip Fearn on 020 7517 6412 or email pfearn@teachfirst.org.uk.
