The London team aims to support Teach First Participants in becoming effective and inspirational teachers and leaders. The team designs, delivers and evaluates the Leadership Development Programme as well as supporting the Participants in achieving Qualified Teacher Status. This includes the six-week Summer Institute and numerous workshops & events, often hosted by our Supporters, including a short course at Imperial College Business School. Additionally, the London team is responsible for placing participants in challenged schools across London.

The focus of the London team is on the organization and implementation of the entire programme throughout the region.

Briana leads our London region and oversees all elements of the Teach First programme within the region including the placement of participants across London schools and the Leadership Development programme.She hails from both the southwest of Ireland and California, USA. She brings with her a background in education, youth development and the not-for-profit sector. Prior to joining the team, she was a teacher in Spain which she enjoyed thoroughly and she spent several years developing and implementing Mentoring programmes for Primary & Secondary schools in California. Additionally, Briana was an AmeriCorps participant for two years in a Primary school as a literacy specialist.
