Developing your career in school

Finding time for career development when you’re in one of the world’s most demanding jobs isn’t easy.

That’s why we support people who’ve been through our programme to progress their teaching or step up into leadership with our Schools Pathway.

The programme offers gives you everything you need to help improve your leadership skills. Sign up for School News, our monthly update detailing education sector news, updates, events and jobs, where you’ll also find out when you can next register for the School Pathway programme.

“The content has been relevant, perfectly pitched; both challenging and affirming. It has been an honour and pleasure to attend.”

How it works

You can apply for tailored continuing professional development (CPD) and coaching in autumn, or sign up for year-round support. Benefits include:

• Improved classroom practice;

• Progression into leadership roles;

• Professional networks for sharing experiences.

The programme centres on CPD provided by specialist partner organisations, and one-to-one coaching with business leaders. This support is designed to improve teaching and leadership skills, as well as offering new perspectives on challenges you are facing. It also offers mentoring, networking events and our school career-focused newsletter.

All of this is designed to guide our ambassadors towards becoming highly-skilled practitioners and school leaders, who are committed to the needs of their pupils.
