ABOUT THE PHONE CALL
This 1:2:1 phone call (approx 15mins) is aimed specifically at young professionals and career changers in the South East and South Coast of England, who would like to explore Teach First and our programme. It will enable you to find out more about the charity, the structure and benefits of our route into teaching.
OUR WORLD CLASS PROGRAMME OFFERS:
- A salaried teacher training route from September 2019 - No debt! It is in fact a free course and you are salaried.
- A fully funded internationally recognised Postgraduate Diploma in Education and Leadership (PGDE) - worth double the credits of a PGCE. This can be topped up to a Masters at a substantially reduced cost
- Classroom based training in the same school for the full two years leading to your Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in your first year and Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) induction in the second year of the programme
- Three dedicated support links – professional mentor (school), academic tutor (university) & one-to-one coaching (Teach First)
You can also teach a STEM subject from your A Level or equivalent if grade B or above. Did you know 62% of low-income pupils fail to achieve an A*- C Science GCSE and the UK economy has a shortfall of 40,000 STEM graduates each year? Here is some information on the STEM challenge.
We have secondary, primary and early years places available across England and Wales, though some subjects have reached capacity. Lock in your place early, so you can be best prepared to start the programme this year.
In the South East South Coast region, we are currently recruiting in the following areas:
Ashford, Dover & Folkestone; Hastings; Eastbourne & Brighton; Medway & Gravesham; Swale; Thanet; Portland/Weymouth; Bournemouth & Poole; Isle of Wight; Portsmouth; Southampton; Crawley
Please note there are eligibility criteria you will need to meet in order to gain a place on our programme. We strongly advise you check the teaching requirements on our website before you sign up to attend this event.
IMPORTANT: Our programme starts on 23 June, so if successful in your application, you'll need to make sure you're ready to start on that day. If your notice period is longer than one month, we would recommend booking a call ASAP, to find out whether it is a suitable route for you and to ensure you submit your application in time.
If you're unable to make the event but would like to learn more - please reach out to Chan at email@example.com
