The Privy Council has today announced the appointment of Teach First’s Founder, Honourary President, and former CEO Brett Wigdortz OBE, as the new Chair Designate of National Citizen Service (NCS) Trust.
Since founding the charity in 2003, Brett’s leadership allowed us to place more than 10,000 teachers in schools, reaching over a million young people. As a result, Teach First grew to become one of the largest graduate recruiters in the country.
Commenting on the announcement, CEO Russell Hobby said:
“Brett’s determination to give every child the education and opportunities they deserve has been at the heart of Teach First’s success. Brett will inevitably bring the same characteristic vision and determination to the NCS.
“And so, for anyone that shares our passion for giving more and more young people the education and opportunities they deserve, the future for the NCS is one that we can all look forward to.”
