How to apply
There are four stages to our application process:
1) Online form
To apply for a place on our Leadership Development Programme you’ll begin by completing and submitting our online application form. Once we receive it, we’ll let you know within ten days whether you’re invited to the next stage – our development centre in London.
2) Development centre
If your application meets our criteria, you’ll be invited to attend a full-day selection day at our development centre at our London office. On the day you will have a competency-based interview, take part in a group exercise and deliver a pre-prepared seven-minute lesson.
The selection day at our development centre is the beginning of our investment in you. Unlike an assessment centre, it’s not just about the skills you have right now – it’s an opportunity to demonstrate your potential to learn and develop further.
You’ll be given actionable feedback throughout that will help you improve your performance – immediately and in the longer term. Although the focus is on your development, it is a selection day. This means we’ll select participants for the programme based on the behaviours and potential you demonstrate on the day.
If you are successful on your selection day you will receive a conditional offer from us. At this stage you will be matched with a local area and teaching subject. You’ll also need to complete some preparation work.
Full enrolment onto the programme follows once you’ve fulfilled the remaining conditions of your offer.
We recruit on a rolling basis and fill our vacancies as soon as we find candidates that meet our competencies and academic requirements. This means that the most popular subjects fill up very early, so we recommend that you apply as soon as possible.
