Summer Projects

Make the most of our community through a mini-internship.

Summer Projects

Summer Projects are one-to-three-week internships our community of current and former teacher trainees undertake every August in schools, charities, social enterprises and corporate organisations.

Our Leadership Development Programme is known for its high standards and rigour – only the most talented and committed individuals are accepted onto it. Having successfully secured a place, they receive world-class leadership training while gaining classroom experience teaching pupils from low-income backgrounds.

Our community can provide a unique additional resource for organisations, and in return a Summer Project placement can help equip our community with a broader range of skills and experience.

Full information about the Summer Projects 2019 programme, including dates and process can be found in the provider handbook and here for schools. Please contact the team at summerprojects@teachfirst.org.uk if you would like to be added to the mailing list, or if you have any questions.

Do you represent a school?

If you'd like to learn more about Summer Projects and how your school can get involved, our team would be happy to help.

Last year, 100% of project providers rated the quality of work produced by our community of current and former trainee teachers as good or very good.
