Our ambassadors

Who are our ambassadors?

An ambassador is someone who’s completed one of our teacher training or school leadership programmes, striving to make education fairer through teaching and leading in one of England or Wales’ most challenging areas. The majority are still teaching and leading in schools. But many are also leaders in schools, education and beyond – civil servants, journalists, social entrepreneurs, charity and business leaders.

As an ambassador you will understand the complexity and the far-reaching impact of inequality in education. Many of you will have experienced its effects first-hand. All of you will know that the situation is urgent.

This highly connected and highly motivated network is a critical part of the solution to bring about equality in education. It’s a community of brilliant leaders that uses its expertise to help unlock the potential in all children.

Our community includes:

  • 51 social entrepreneurs
  • 65 headteachers
  • 200 policymakers and researchers
  • 400 senior leadership team members
  • 5,750 teachers

Connect and impact

Make an incredible impact on education in the UK

As a Teach First ambassador, your role is vital in building a fair education for all.

Over 60 per cent of our ambassadors are making a difference in schools every day – as teachers and leaders in schools.

But it doesn’t stop there. In and out of the classroom, our ambassadors – including those who work outside of education – passionately tackle education inequality. They set up social enterprises, get involved as governors and volunteers and shape education policy. They form powerful networks that raise awareness and make an impact.

A worldwide movement

As an ambassador, you’ll not only be joining forces within the UK. You’ll be part of a 65,000-strong global movement dedicated to positive change. That’s because Teach First is part of Teach For All – a global network of organisations committed to improving education in their own communities.

As part of Teach For All, you’ll discover some of the most innovative and exciting education initiatives from 50+ countries around the world. Get inspired. Get involved.
