Curriculum Associate
An exciting new role working alongside our expert teacher trainers and curriculum specialists to deliver a range of content to teacher trainees on Teach First’s Training Programme. This will include subject knowledge and subject-specific pedagogy and may also include core content. You’ll deliver content to trainees throughout our ‘Summer Institute’ which runs from Monday 6 June to Friday 5 August. Summer Institute is our period of training marking the start of the Training Programme for our incoming 2022 cohort of trainee teachers. It equips our trainees with practical skills, knowledge and behaviours for their first months in school. You’ll deliver sessions in line with our core content curriculum in the evening, on Saturdays or within normal working hours. There may be opportunities available to deliver content on other Teach First programmes in the future. You will be highly motivated and prepared to collaborate with peers and Teach First colleagues to facilitate the subject-specific curriculum and provide tailored group support to the incoming cohort of trainees. The role will enable you to enhance your adult facilitation and leadership skills outside the classroom, and expand your professional practice through work with peers, gaining useful tools and knowledge to take back to school. We’ll provide all training for the role and you’ll be paid for your time on this training.
