Development Lead

Role summary

Development Leads most frequently work on our Training Programme. Some Development Leads may also have the opportunity to work on one of our other programmes: Time to Teach, Reconnect with Teaching, Middle Leader, Senior Leader, and Headship programmes. You’ll have a designated portfolio of trainees and will work closely with the schools they are placed in, as well as their university tutors and school mentors. Your work will see them grow into leaders, committed to making a difference to educational inequality. We are currently recruiting for two Development Leads.

Programme and Events Lead

Location: North West

Type: Fixed term, Full-time

Role summary

The Programme & Events Lead is a project management and events specialist who is jointly accountable for the high quality and consistent delivery of the teacher training programme including the five-week residential Summer Institute and other regionally based programmes as required by the Regional Director. In the North West this includes our programmes for careers leaders in schools, and our school leadership programmes. The post holder is responsible for co-leading the planning, execution and evaluation of all logistical elements of programme(s) delivery in the North West. This role has a strong emphasis on logistics, communication, delivery and collaborative working.

Schools Coordinator

Role summary

As the Schools Coordinator, you’ll play a vital part in facilitating the placement of our trainees in East of England schools. You’ll provide administrative, data and logistical support to the regional schools team, supporting effective and efficient ways of working. You’ll provide schools and other stakeholders with outstanding customer service. You’ll develop effective communications with schools, enabling them to get the most from our programmes. We are looking someone to join us on part-time basis working 3 days a week. One of the three days you would be required to work is on a Wednesday.

Role summary

As Website Editor, you’ll commission, write and design web pages and other content on our new website. You’ll build, implement and manage our web content strategy, turning it into a fully-fledged editorial calendar. This will include management of our new blog, to ensure it's always interesting and relevant for our audiences. You’ll keep the structure, taxonomy and content of the site tidy and well-organised. You’ll work with colleagues to ensure all content sticks to our brand style and web design conventions, providing training and guidelines when necessary. You’ll edit content submitted by others, keep tabs on user roles in the content management system and escalate sensitive issues or risks to management.

Social Media Producer

Role summary

As Social Media Producer you’ll be responsible for the production, scheduling and publishing of our owned social media content. You’ll deliver to marketing briefs but also manage a calendar of brand and storytelling posts. You’ll boost content to support brand and marketing goals. You’ll monitor comments, replies and other messages on social, responding when appropriate and escalating sensitive or critical issues to management. You’ll work with colleagues to ensure all content—including from accounts managed by others— is in our brand and social media style. You’ll provide training and guidelines to help. You’ll be our resident authority on social networks, their content and analytics, and will compile data on our social content and channel performance. You’ll have an eye on current events and participate in daily happenings on social. You’ll work with designers, videographers and our paid media specialist to create the best social media content. You’ll take part in our team creative processes and contribute ideas of your own.

Programme Implementation Officer

Role summary

The Programme Development department leads on the design and development of all Teach First programmes. This includes researching, building, designing and implementing new programmes, ensuring the continuous improvement of existing programmes and training colleagues who deliver the programmes to ensure the maximum impact on programme members and schools. The Programme Implementation Officer will work with colleagues in the Implementation team and other teams across the organisation to ensure School Leadership Programmes can be delivered to an exceptional quality across all Teach First Local Areas.
