2025 Pay Gap Report
At Teach First, we are committed to fair and competitive pay for all employees — regardless of gender, ethnicity or socio-economic background — and to building a diverse, inclusive workplace.
As of April 2025, our median gender pay gap is 3.33% and our mean gender pay gap is 7.23%, an increase since 2024. Women make up 73% of our workforce but are underrepresented in our highest pay quartile. Mid-year data from September 2025 shows the median gap narrowing to 2.32%, suggesting early progress from actions underway.
Our median ethnicity pay gap is 15.74% (mean 9.60%), a reduction from last year, though colleagues from ethnic minority backgrounds remain underrepresented in higher-paid roles.
Our median socio-economic background pay gap is 0.69% (mean 3.97%), slightly lower than 2024, with relatively even representation across pay quartiles.
In 2025, we brought our gender, ethnicity and socio-economic reporting together into one consolidated report and strengthened inclusive recruitment, leadership development and transparency in pay practices. We remain committed to closing pay gaps and ensuring fair progression for all colleagues.
