Media Officer

You’ll be at the heart of working towards the day where no child’s success in education is determined by their background. You will develop story ideas and deliver media coverage to reach new audiences and encourage more people to start a career in teaching through Teach First. Your press work will raise awareness of the issues in education we care about, the policy ideas that could solve them, and our work with partners. A typical day could see you drafting a media line in response to a Government policy announcement, meeting with a consumer journalist to pitch a case study story, evaluating our recent media campaigns, and writing our daily press briefing for staff.

Media Manager

You will lead the Teach First media function, spearheading our successful media strategies with input from colleagues. You will manage and develop a team of two and through your collective work you will reach new audiences, inspiring them to start a career in teaching through Teach First. You will support our teachers and alumni to tell their story their story and encourage others to follow in their footsteps. You will push education up the news agenda, raising awareness of the issues making education unequal and showcasing solutions. You will promote and protect Teach First’s reputation.

Digital Programme Manager

An exciting new role, the Digital Programme Manager will have overall accountability for the successful delivery of all technology workstreams within the three-year Customer Experience Transformation programme. Responsible for a team of Business Analysts and Project Managers, the Digital Programme Manager will have oversight of all technical activities and reporting to enable the alignment to and successful delivery of the overall programme. The successful programme of work will transform the digital journey for our core customers and thereby both support and accelerate the charity towards achieving its goals.

Evaluation and Data Officer

The Strategy, Research and Performance directorate ensures that Teach First can make the best of its resources to have a positive impact on the lives of children and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. Its role is to help facilitate the development of Teach First strategy and the initiatives to implement that strategy in line with the latest evidence and research. The directorate helps drive performance at Teach First by providing access to the data, analysis and research that informs decision making as well as by serving as a centre of excellence for project management. The directorate supports the organisation to learn from what has and hasn’t worked through rigorous evaluations and ensures these learnings are captured in organisational planning and future strategy.

This role will support in developing and executing on the organisational approach to evaluating the success of our activity.

Salesforce Developer

Salesforce.com (SFDC), the customer relationship management (CRM) database used by Teach First, is a critical IT business application that supports the Charity’s core business processes. It is used to manage all aspects of interaction between Teach First and its stakeholders, including prospective applicants, participants (teachers), ambassadors, schools, partner organisations, supporters and employees. Teach First’s implementation of Salesforce is complex, and unique. The charity is rapidly growing in its ambition, scope and reach, and continually generating new initiatives and business activities. To support this growth we need an excellent Salesforce developer with the ability to maintain, enhance and deliver functionally rich changes to our platform as part of an enterprise CRM transformation.

Participant Development Lead - Secondary (Maths or History Specialism)

Teach First are working together with the Now Teach programme to provide a bespoke route into teaching for career changers. Those involved in this programme will have the opportunity to design and shape the future of the programme in collaboration with colleagues.

The Participant Development Lead (PDL) is accountable for ensuring Now Teach participants (trainee teachers) complete the Now Teach Programme, develop into lifelong leaders, and meet the organisation’s pupil impact targets in their classrooms. They will lead all aspects of support provided to participants including that of school-based mentors to ensure participants thrive and complete the programme. PDLs will lead both the subject knowledge and pedagogical knowledge on the programme. Whilst you will primarily be responsible for design and delivery of the programme, you will be part of wider national PDL team, working to provide high quality teacher development through a range of different programmes.
