An introduction to Teach First in partnership with Amazon
Boost your career and help build a fair education for all in partnership with Amazon
In 2017, a Royal Society report found that 54% of secondary schools in England didn’t offer GCSE computer science and that this was largely due to a lack of skilled teachers. You can be part of the solution and help us change that.
In partnership with Amazon Future Engineer, Teach First are offering you the opportunity to earn a salary while you train to be a computing teacher. You’ll also gain valuable experience that will serve you well in the tech and education sectors.
Most importantly, you’ll help ensure that children who face the biggest life challenges can learn crucial computer science skills.
Come and find out more
This is a unique and bespoke event specifically for those eligible to teach computing (studying / graduated from a computer science discipline, or with a computing A-Level at grade B or above).
Hosted at Amazon's London offices, you'll hear directly from members of the Teach First and Amazon teams, as well as those who have taught computing on the Teach First Training Programme. They'll share their experiences in the classroom and what they have gone on to achieve beyond the two years. The evening will include a short presentation, access to a workshop focused on skills development and success during our application process, followed by networking with our team and previous recruits.
The event is open to students, recent graduates and those considering changing career, with bespoke advice and support available to you on the evening around your individual circumstances.
There is lots of information to get you started on our website about Teach First, our Training Programme and our teaching requirements. We’d recommend taking a look at all of this before the event to find out more specifics.
