How the Remarkable Women programme works

What the programme offers

Remarkable Women equips you to take on the unique challenges of headship in schools facing the greatest disadvantage.

Bringing women leaders together, you will reflect, grow and support each other – helping you lead more effectively and with greater fulfilment.

How it works

The programme includes:

  • Three full-day workshops: Immersive sessions to develop your leadership, with the first held in person in London and the remaining two delivered online.
  • Three fireside chats: Inspiring conversations with experienced leaders (dates tbc - online)
  • Fieldwork: Apply your learning in your school
  • Peer coaching circles: Small-group sessions for sharing and support
  • End of programme celebration: in person

Eligibilty

The programme is open to women working in Teach First partner schools who:

  • Is an aspiring headteacher, aiming to step into the role within 12 months
  • Is a new headteacher, in your first year in post
  • Has a strong drive to learn, grow and lead

Our goal is to build a cohort that reflects the diversity of the communities we serve.

We strongly encourage nominations from women who are underrepresented in school leadership – including women who are disabled, from ethnic minority backgrounds, LGBTQ+ (including non-binary), or from lower socio-economic backgrounds.
