Teach First partners with Now Teach to help career changers thrive in teaching
We’re delighted to announce our new partnership with Now Teach, working together to attract and support more experienced professionals as they make the transition into teaching.
This partnership will bring together our shared expertise:
- Teach First’s Ofsted-rated outstanding School-Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) – developing high-quality teachers who make a lasting impact in their local community.
- Now Teach’s nine-year experience in inspiring career changers to join the profession and supporting experienced professionals to transition into teaching with purpose and confidence.
Career changers training with Teach First’s SCITT delivery partners in 2025/26 will get access to tailored sessions created by Now Teach. These sessions are designed to support their move into teaching, boost their confidence, and help them make a real difference for their students.
“Our school-centred initial teacher training (SCITT) is a school-based route into teaching for people who want to make a difference in their local community. Nearly 30% of our secondary SCITT trainees are career changers so we’re delighted to be partnering with Now Teach to support more career changers into teaching. The valuable professional skills and life experience they bring into the classroom have a positive impact on the children, schools and their wider communities.”
